About the Show
Radiohead, one of the most innovative bands ever with their own sound and style of music, has not played in Portland for the better part of a decade. Their refusal to play here has started petitions (most noticeably by 94.7 in 2008), Facebook groups, & stirred fans’ ire. As Radiohead fans, we want to see them as much as anybody else, and we aim to do something about it.
Showbacker is working to crowdbook Radiohead to come to Portland in the Summer of 2013. We are asking fans of Radiohead to commit to buying tickets to the show. Money talks, and if we can get 5,000 people to commit to buying a ticket, we will have the leverage we need to begin negotiations with Radiohead’s management.
